Inducted September 20, 2014 Graduated from Bemidji State in Minnesota 1960-61-Taught in Iowa 1961-65-Taught and coached at Chiloquin High School 1965-90-Taught and coached at Henley Jr. High School 1983-92 -Coached softball at Henley High School 1987, 88, 89, 91, 92-Softball teams won conference championships 1989-Softball team won Oregon State AA championship, beating Sweet Home 2-1 1989-Named Oregon State AA softball Coach of the year. Dave was quick to say that he really didn’t know how to coach until he started coaching girls. They mellowed him. JIM JONES
Inducted October 5, 2013 Jim coached the Track and field Boys Track Team to the 1981 Oregon State Championship. Coached Track and Field Boys and Girls- 1975-1981. Henley Boys and Girls Cross Country-1974-1980 TRACK Won four Boys Skyline District Track Championships, Four Girls District Track Championships, State places- Boys 1st- 1981, 3rd- 1976, 2nd-1978. Girls-2nd-1979,1980, 4th in 1981 CROSS COUNTRY Three District Boys Cross Country Championships and two Girls Cross Country District titles. State places- Boys- 2nd in 1977. Oregon nominee for Girls Track National Coach of the Year-1981. Oregon Boys and Girls Track Coach of the Year-1978,1981. Girls Track Coach of the Year-1979,1980. Jim continued his track coaching career at Canby High School (1981-85). He coached track and cross country at Tigard-(1985-2005) He is currently retired from the Athletic Director position at Tigard High School (1998-2005) |

Bill Baumgartner
Inducted September 29, 2012 Bill was head baseball coach for Henley High School 1977 to 1985. He was an assistant football college 1976-1979. He coached a 127-win and 103-loss record during his career with Henley Baseball. As a coach he led the 1981 Henley baseball team to the State AA Baseball Championships. He was honored as the 1981 Oregon State AA Coach of the Year. He became the 1981 Oregon State AA Coach of the Year. In 1995 he became the Oregon State 4A Coach of the Year as a coach at Sprague High School. He was inducted into the Oregon Baseball Coaches’ Hall of Fame in 2004. In 2010 he was inducted into the Sprague High School Hall of Fame. |
Max Marvin
Inducted September 29, 2012 Max Marvin coached the 1946, 1947, and 1948, Henley Track Teams to the Oregon State “B” Championships. He graduated From Southern Oregon College of Education and completed his graduate study at the University of Oregon. He taught at Henley High School for seven years. He became an elementary principal for the Klamath County School District. |
Richard Reiling
Inducted January 20, 2012 1980 Coached Henley High School Girls Basketball team to AA State Championship (25-2). Won 62, lost 28 games in four years at Henley in Girls Basketball. 1980 Oregon AA Girls Basketball Coach of the Year. 1973 -Coach of Lost River Baseball Team to State Championship. Also coached football, boy’s basketball, golf, and wrestling throughout his career at different schools. Henley High School Math/Science Teacher. Vice-Principal and Principal at Scio and Lebanon High Schools. Dick was a twelve-year Henley student. Played four years of football, basketball, and baseball at Henley. Graduate of Southern Oregon University. Masters Degree from Texas A and M. |
Carrol Howe
Inducted January 20, 2012 Graduated from Southern Oregon Normal School in 1930. While there he was a standout football player. Coached football eight years at Henley High School. Principal at Henley High School from 1936 to 1949. Served as Superintendent of Klamath County School District from 1948 to 1960. Coached Henley High School to a 1946 B State Football Championship. Served in the Oregon State Legislature for twelve years. Author of six books on Native Americans of Eastern Oregon, the history of Northern California, and Klamath County. Helped found the Klamath County Museum. |
